Feedback is one of the most powerful tools for learning—when students understand how to use it. This lesson helps students see feedback not as criticism, but as guidance for growth. By connecting feedback to familiar experiences, like coaching in sports, and giving concrete examples of how to respond, students learn to identify their strengths, set goals, and take ownership of their improvement. When we teach students to reflect on and apply feedback, we’re not just helping them with one assignment—we’re teaching them how to learn for life.
