P. 3 — (Read aloud) This page talks about “Fibonacci creatures” and how they have body parts that help them survive. As I read this page I was asking myself, what body part is a winding and coiling shape and helps beasts survive? Why are these creatures called “Fibonacci creatures”?
Pgs. 9–10 — As I am reading these pages, I notice the numbers are bold. I wonder why the author has made these numbers bold? Let me turn the page and see if I can figure it out. I notice here on pgs. 11-12 there are more numbers in bold. What is the author trying to tell me?
P. 13 — (Read without showing pictures.) “Two eagles glide high in the sky, and float above the breeze.” What do you see in your mind as I read this selection?
P. 16 — “...then quickly pounce to capture it with sharp and curling claws.” Which details helped you create a picture in your mind?
